DANGSTEIN CONSERVANCY strives to conserve Nature for its own sake and for the capacity of Nature to fulfil the needs and enrich the lives of people today and in future generations.
We achieve this goal through “grass-roots” collaboration in conservation work, traditional woodcrafts, outdoor learning and enjoying the woodland and heathland of the South Downs National Park.
We actively help local people to understand and practice sustainable woodland management and to make productive use of the local timber – a natural resource that will help people lead more sustainable and creative lifestyles, while making a vital contribution to our protected landscape in the National Park.
